JigSpace enables you to create 3D presentations and augmented reality experiences using the Windows or Mac desktop application then publish them for viewing on Android devices with our Universal AR viewer.
Android users can launch the augmented reality content from:
- Clicking a share link
- Scanning a QR code.
- Embedded inside a website.

Troubleshooting
Unlike Apple's iOS, there are many fragmented variants of the Android operating system, supporting both high, mid, and low-end devices. Some of these variants have AR features removed or disabled. This means they need to be configured to run AR, or may not be supported at all.
Follow these troubleshooting tips to get AR working on your Android device.
AR permission is turned off
This message indicates you need to enable permission to your device to view augmented reality content. This is usually only required once.
Follow the steps below to re-enable AR permissions.
AR permission is blocked in site settings
This message indicates that JigSpace is blocked from using augmented reality. The JigSpace webAR player uses the URLs view.jig.space and viewer.jig.space.
Follow these steps to allow JigSpace to use AR in your browser site settings.
AR Core is not installed
This message indicates that your Android operating system has had some features removed and needs to install 'Google Play Services for AR' in order to use augmented reality. This needs to be re-installed once, or updated, in order for your device to use AR features on any website.
Follow these steps to install Google Play Services for AR.
AR permission is not granted
This message indicates you need to grant permission to your device to use augmented reality features. This is usually only required once.
Click on this popup when asked to grant permission.
Android device compatibility
It's important to ensure that the devices your viewers are using are capable of viewing these 3D experiences. In general, most Android devices will be able to view 3D and augmented reality experiences created using JigSpace.
3D viewer is available on approx. 94% of tracked mobile devices:
- Samsung Internet v7.2+
- Chrome for Android v108+
- Android Browser version v107+
- Firefox for Android v108+
Augmented reality viewer is available on 72% of tracked mobile devices:
- Samsung Internet v12+
- Chrome for Android v108
- Opera v72
- Firefox for Android is not yet available for AR viewing.
