If your CAD file has object or part names that you wish to import as interactive labels, you can do this manually by following this simple sequence.

  1. Tap the model in JigSpace you wish to add labels to
  2. Check it is in ‘Object mode’ :icon-object-mode.svg by toggling this on
  3. Tap the label icon :icon-label.svg
  4. Select ‘Use names from file’

This will import the names of all objects, sub-objects, assemblies, or sub-assemblies into the 3D model as labels.

Remember, these will override any pre-existing labels, and will be applied to all steps in your Jig presentation if they exist.

These labels can be further edited or customized by:

  1. Toggling into ‘Sub-Object mode’ :icon-sub-object-mode.svg
  2. Tapping on a sub-object you wish to see or edit
  3. Tap the label icon :icon-label.svg
  4. Edit the text
  5. Choose to ‘Always show’ or leave black to show only when touched in a presentation.
