If your object is highlighted green, (or in the case of grouped sub-objects, purple) and the toolbar displays the {sub-object-mode.svg} button, you’re in sub-object mode and can move the individual components of your model.

When scaling an object or sub-object across steps in tandem with the transparency tool you can achieve the effect of an object popping into a scene. This can be used to create smooth transitions and draw the eye to the new focus of the step.

Scaling Imported Objects

Scale is not always uniform across different programs. When importing an object file found on the internet it could be scaled 100x larger or smaller than expected.

If you find your imported model is the wrong size, use the scale tool to resize your model. We recommend scaling the model to sit inside the workshop floor guide lines.
