When editing multiple models in your Jig you can perform mass changes on groups of them using the Multi-select tool {icon-multiselect.svg}. Multi-Select can quickly speed up your Jig building process and can be used on both Objects {icon-object-mode.svg} and Sub-objects {icon-sub-object-mode.svg} .

Multi-Select Objects

To Select Multiple Objects:

  1. Tap to select your first Object.
  2. Press Add to Selection {icon-multiselect.svg} at the bottom of the toolbar to Open the Multi-Select toolbar.
  3. While the Multi-Select tool is open, any Object you tap will be added to your selection. (Selected objects will gain a highlighted outline.)
  4. To Deselect an Object, tap the Object again.
  5. To finish, tap the Confirm Selection {icon-ok.svg} button.

Select All Objects

If you need to select all of the Objects in your Jig scene:

  1. Tap to select your first Object.
  2. Press Add to Selection {icon-multiselect.svg} at the bottom of the toolbar to Open the Multi-Select toolbar.
  3. In the Multi-select toolbar tap Select All {icon-all.svg} .
  4. To finish, tap the Confirm Selection {icon-ok.svg}  button.

Lasso Select Objects

To select Objects using the Lasso tool:

  1. Tap to select your first Object.
  2. Press Add to Selection {icon-multiselect.svg} at the bottom of the toolbar to Open the Multi-Select toolbar.
  3. In the Multi-select toolbar tap the Lasso Select tool{icon-lasso-select.svg}.
  4. Press and drag to create an outline around the Objects you want to select.
  5. To finish, tap the Confirm Selection {icon-ok.svg} button.

Note: You can cancel the Lasso selection by tapping the background of the scene.

Lasso Deselect Objects

To deselect a large group of Objects using the Lasso tool:

  1. Press Add to Selection {icon-multiselect.svg} at the bottom of the toolbar to Open the Multi-Select toolbar.
  2. In the Multi-select toolbar tap the Deselect Lasso {icon-lasso-deselect.svg} button.
  3. Press and drag to create an outline around the Objects you want to deselect.
  4. To finish, tap Confirm Selection {icon-ok.svg}.

Note: You can also deselect Objects one at a time by tapping on selected ones again.

Locking Selection into Groups

When editing your scene you may find you want a group of Objects or Sub-objects to move in the scene together.

To do this we recommend locking them into a single group. This temporary grouping will only last for your editing session and can speed up the editing process by skipping the Multi-select process every time you want to edit the group.

To lock a group of Objects:

  1. Tap to select your first Object.
  2. Press Add to Selection {icon-multiselect.svg} at the bottom of the toolbar to Open the Multi-Select toolbar.
  3. In the Multi-select toolbar tap the Lasso Select tool {icon-lasso-select.svg}.
  4. Press and drag to create an outline around the Objects you want to select.
  5. To Group the Objects press Lock Group {icon-unlocked.svg}. (The group will have a purple outline when selected and will now behave as a single object.)
  6. To finish, tap Confirm Selection {icon-ok.svg} .

Note: You can Unlock the locked groups by taping the Group Locked {icon-locked.svg} button again.

Add or remove Objects from Locked Groups

To Add Objects to a locked group:

  1. Tap to select your group.
  2. Press Add to Selection {icon-multiselect.svg} to Open the Multi-Select toolbar.
  3. Tap on the objects you want to add to your selection.
  4. Press the Lock Group {icon-unlocked.svg} button to add them to the Group.
  5. To finish, tap Confirm Selection {icon-ok.svg} .

To Remove Objects from a locked group:

  1. Tap to select your group.
  2. Press Add to Selection {icon-multiselect.svg} to Open the Multi-Select toolbar.
  3. Tap the Group Locked {icon-locked.svg} button to unlock the group.
  4. While the group is unlocked you can tap to deselect Objects from the group.
  5. Once you have the right selection, you can then tap Lock Group {icon-unlocked.svg} button. (This will lock what remains selected into a locked group again)
  6. To finish, tap Confirm Selection {icon-ok.svg} .
