The information panel is a great way to add a professional look to your Jig. A clear title accompanied by a well taken thumbnail image will act as the first impression to your Jig, so the more detail you add they better your product will appear.

Adding Titles and Tags

At the fields you can add in the Name/Title of the Jig. Simply tap and fill in the box using the keyboard.

Next you can add tags. Just tap on the tags box and fill it in. Try to keep them as simple words as these tags will be used to improve search results for your Jig.

We recommend adding tags like:

  • Company
  • Product
  • Product Numbers
  • Parts Numbers

Adding Descriptions

You can also add a description of what the Jig is about. This information will be visible when you tap on your Jig in the Jig Menu, so try to be detailed and clear about what the Jig is exploring.

Adding Thumbnails

To add a Thumbnail tap on the New thumbnail button. This will open up the Thumbnail menu. The Thumbnail is the image that will be displayed on the Jig Menu as a visual indication of what this Jig is about. For taking the thumbnail picture you might want to go through to the most visually interesting step. Feel free to tap on the screen to position and scale the camera’s view.

To create a Thumbnail:

  1. Go to the most visually interesting/demonstrative step of your Jig. (This will be the focus of your thumbnail)
  2. In the Information Panel select the New thumbnail button.
  3. Chose the background color from the bottom options.
  4. Chose the brightness of the background with the brightness slider. (Use contrast to emphasize your Jig models)
  5. Scale, Rotate and Position your objects in the thumbnail to achieve a dynamic pose.
  6. Press the Thumbnail {icon-camera.png} button to capture and save your Thumbnail.

Note: When you have finished don't forget to Save {icon-save.svg} your work.
